Restaurants: It's common to leave a tip at sit-down restaurants. Many restaurants include a service charge (usually around 10%) in the bill, which is effectively a tip. If the service charge isn't included, or if you receive exceptional service, a tip of around 10% of the bill is appreciated.
Taxis: Tipping taxi drivers is not customary in Colombia. However, rounding up the fare for convenience or for exceptional service is appreciated.
Hotel Staff: For hotel bellboys or porters, a small tip per bag is customary. Housekeeping staff might also be tipped, usually at the end of your stay.
Bars and Cafes: Tipping in bars and cafes is less common, but you can leave a small tip or round up the bill if you wish, especially if you receive table service.
Other Services: For services like hairdressers, spa treatments, or guided tours, a small tip (around 10%) is appreciated if you're satisfied with service.
